May 2019 NEWSLETTER

Today is winterlike, tomorrow may be summerlike…springtime in the Rockies!!The first meeting was held on May 3rd with a respectable number of members attending but not enough to have a quorum. Fortunately, there was nothing to vote on so it was not a problem!Charles Crowell and his wife Ann were introduced to members as perspective members, and after the meeting the Board did vote on their membership. They have a sailboat and look forward to getting out on the lake as soon as possible.Dan Marty from State Parks attended the meeting to discuss the upcoming meeting with State officials on May 21st. There will be discussion on new regulations followed by a walk through of the Club. Letters have been sent to lessees informing them as to what is on the horizon. It is VERY IMPORTANT that the Club property look pristine for this walk through! Also, a reminder that if you want to make any changes on your lot/trailer please submit an application to the Board. Ground disturbances are a major concern for the State. If you have a dead tree on your lot you may replace it but it must go back into the same hole. No new plantings without approval. ALL changes must be approved by the Board and State.Another reminder, this year the State has indicated that they are not going to be lenient with State tags. Vehicles that are in the Park without a day pass or an annual pass will be ticketed. This includes guests so please let your guests know.If any slip owners that are not using their slips would be interested in letting others use their slips please let the Board know so that information can be posted. Price negotiations can be worked out between the slip owner and person wanting to use the slip. There is some good news for members……the debris behind the dumpsters has been cleaned up! Yay!! Also, new ramps were installed! Yay! Thanks to all (Tony Martoglio, Yogi, Lonnie and Denis) for helping with those projects.Speaking of projects……..a “To Do” list will be posted on the outside bulletin board for those of you that would like to contribute some time to the Club! Just sign your name to the project and when it’s complete put in the date! This Club depends on volunteers to make it successful so thank you in advance for your assistance!Big Horn Horticulture will be spraying weeds and if you as a lot owner are interested in getting on the list please notify a Board member. Thanks go out to Miles for filing the Club’s taxes!!The next meeting will be held on June 7th with dinner at 6:30 and the general meeting at 7:15. Please bring a dish to share, your own table service and beverage. This will be an IMPORTANT meeting as you will find out the results from the meeting with the State. WEBSITE - As a reminder, Lonnie Berett is helping with Website administration.
